Doing What You Need To

We recently talked about having fun on a previous blog, and how important it is to enjoy the training and exercise that you do. However, once you get to a certain level there will come a time where you will need to perform some tasks that aren't as fun in order for you to progress.


For example, when in prep for a bodybuilding competition in order to get stage lean you may have to do 30-45 minutes of cardio a day. For me, I wouldn't classify that as fun by itself, and some days it may be very hard to accomplish, but I have to do it. The fun part comes later when I'm on stage, and I look back and I'm glad I did all that cardio before hand.


Building your physique is not easy, and while the overall process and journey should be an enjoyable one, that doesn't mean there aren't any difficult tasks you have to perform to get to where you want to be.
